The 1895 Half Ponde was the higest minted Half Pond. It is still rare in UNC grade and below is an exceptional AU58 from the Stecher collection. It is still possible to see the scrapper marks on the blanks.
1895 half Pond Forgeries.
There does not seem to be a problem with forgeries.
Some coins are ex-mount coins. Look for marks in the middle of the Half Pond as many Half Pond were made into cufflinks. It is best to buy a certified coin.
